1. Who we are
1.1 www.agri-lighting.ie (the Website) is owned and operated by Nick Young Tractor Parts Ltd, trading as Agri Lighting, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 07716986, VAT number GB 667 356 205. Our registered office and trading address is Unit 2, The Forge, Moor Road, North Owersby, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire LN8 3PR, United Kingdom. We are based in the United Kingdom, not in Ireland or the EU.
1.2 You can contact us by email at [email protected], by phone on +44 1522 440522 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) or by post at the address above.
1.3 These Terms apply to every order placed through the Website. By placing an order you agree to them. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1.4 Where these Terms refer to a consumer, they mean an individual buying for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business or profession. Business customers are covered by the same Terms except where a clause says otherwise.
1.5 The Website sells to delivery addresses in the Republic of Ireland only. Customers in Northern Ireland should order from our UK website, www.agri-lighting.co.uk.
2. Products and information
2.1 We sell replacement and aftermarket lighting, electrical parts and workshop consumables for tractors, trailers and farm machinery. Manufacturer names and part numbers are used only to identify which machines a part fits. We are not affiliated with John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Claas or any other machinery manufacturer unless a product is described as genuine or licensed.
2.2 We take care to describe products accurately. Product images are for illustration, and minor differences in colour or finish can occur. If you find an error in a description or price, tell us and we will correct it.
2.3 Fitment information is given in good faith from manufacturer data. If you are unsure whether a part fits your machine, contact us with the tractor model and serial number before ordering and we will confirm.
3. Prices and payment
3.1 Prices are shown in euros. No UK VAT is charged on orders delivered to Ireland.
3.2 Goods are sent from Great Britain to Ireland on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. Irish import VAT, any customs duty and the courier’s handling or clearance fee are not included in our prices or delivery charge. You pay them to the courier, who will contact you before delivery if charges apply. Our Delivery and Returns page explains this in more detail.
3.3 We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link through Stripe. Other payment options, such as pay-later services, may be offered at checkout on eligible orders. Payment is taken when you place the order.
3.4 If a price on the Website is obviously wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch.
4. Orders and contract
4.1 Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we send the order confirmation email.
4.2 We may decline an order if an item is out of stock or discontinued, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if there is a pricing or listing error. If we decline an order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
5. Delivery
5.1 Delivery to the Republic of Ireland is free on orders of €150 or more. Below €150, delivery is charged by parcel size and shown at checkout before you pay.
5.2 In-stock orders placed before 3pm on a working day (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays) are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 3pm are dispatched the next working day. Items ordered in from a supplier are marked on the product page. They usually reach us the next working day and are dispatched the day they arrive.
5.3 Delivery to Ireland usually takes 2 to 5 working days after dispatch. Delivery times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays outside our control, but if delivery is delayed by an event outside our control we will contact you and you may cancel the order and receive a full refund for any goods not yet delivered.
5.4 Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave. Ownership passes when we receive payment in full.
5.5 Please check your parcel on arrival and tell us as soon as you can about any damage, shortage or incorrect item. Reporting quickly helps us claim from the courier, but it is not a condition of your rights under section 7.
Full delivery details, including import charges and timescales, are on our Delivery and Returns page.
6. Returns of unwanted items
6.1 Consumers have a legal right under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, which applies EU distance-selling rules in Ireland, to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason. We extend this: you may return any unwanted item within 30 days of delivery.
6.2 To return an unwanted item, email us with your order number within 30 days of delivery, then send the item back within 14 days of telling us. Items must be unused, undamaged and in their original packaging. You pay the cost of returning unwanted items. Returns go to our address in the United Kingdom, so the postage costs more than a return within Ireland and the carrier may need a customs declaration. We recommend a tracked service.
6.3 We refund the price of the goods, and the standard outbound delivery charge where the whole order is returned, within 14 days of you telling us you are cancelling. We may wait until we receive the goods back, or you give us proof that you have sent them, whichever comes first. Refunds go to the original payment method.
6.4 Import VAT, customs duty and courier clearance fees are paid to the courier and not to us, so we cannot refund them. You may be able to reclaim them from the courier or from Revenue with proof of return.
6.5 We may reduce a refund if an item is returned used, damaged or without its packaging, to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what was needed to check the goods.
6.6 Items ordered in specially for you and marked as special order at checkout are excluded from the 30-day unwanted returns policy, except for your 14-day statutory cancellation right where it applies. The 14-day right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised.
7. Faulty or incorrect goods and your statutory rights
7.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty or not as described, consumers have the right to reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you are entitled to a free repair or replacement. If a repair or replacement is not possible, is not carried out within a reasonable time or does not fix the problem, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract for a refund. For a serious fault you may not have to accept a repair or replacement first.
7.2 A fault that appears within 12 months of delivery is presumed to have been present at delivery unless we can show otherwise. You can seek a remedy for a fault for up to six years, depending on how long the goods could reasonably be expected to last.
7.3 If we send the wrong item, we will send the correct item or refund you, and we pay the return postage.
7.4 In addition to your statutory rights, every product we sell carries a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery. Our Warranty page explains what is covered and how to claim.
7.5 To report a fault, email us with your order number, a description of the problem and photographs where possible. We will arrange collection or send a prepaid return label, and replace, repair or refund once the fault is confirmed.
8. Fitting and use
8.1 Our products are designed to be fitted by a competent person. Fitting instructions supplied by the manufacturer should be followed, and electrical parts should be matched to the machine’s system voltage. Damage caused by incorrect fitting, incorrect voltage, modification or use outside the manufacturer’s specification is not covered by the warranty in section 7.4, though your statutory rights are unaffected.
8.2 Road-legal lighting must carry the approval marks required for use on public roads in Ireland. Where a product is described as for off-road use only, it must not be used on a public road.
9. Liability
9.1 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights.
9.2 We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable.
9.3 For business customers, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or downtime.
10. Website use and content
10.1 The text, images and other material on the Website belong to us or are used with permission. You may copy material for personal, non-commercial use only.
10.2 The Website may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10.3 Our Privacy and Cookies Policy explains how we use personal data and cookies.
11. General
11.1 Events outside our control: we are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, but section 5.3 applies to delayed deliveries.
11.2 If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest continues to apply.
11.3 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Ireland, this does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory rules of Irish consumer law, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of Ireland or of England and Wales.
11.4 If you have a complaint, email or call us and we will do our best to put it right. Consumers in Ireland can get free information about their rights from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) at ccpc.ie.
